4. If the broken glass is in an open or airy area then wear protective glasses to avoid getting small flying pieces of glass in your eyes;
5. If the glass fell from a height do not stand underneath the area as there might still be glass that could fall;
6. And lastly, if your door or window glass has a crack (but has not shattered or fallen) then carefully stick masking tape across it to strengthen it until you can get your replacement glass installed.
